How does it work?

The Candela GentleMax Pro uses laser technology to deliver an intense but gentle burst of energy onto specific areas of the skin, delivering a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat safely and effectively. Our system contains two Laser wavelengths, the Alexandrite and the NG Yag which means we can treat all skin tones safely. The time frame between treatments is important in terms of Hair Removal so that we ensure we target the hair in the right phase. We also allow 4 weeks between specialised treatments such as Thread Vein Removal and Pigmentation Removal to allow the skin to heal before we perform another treatment.

For anyone considering laser an initial consultation with one of our Laser Therapists is essential. This way your Therapist can explain the process of your specific treatment and the cost and perform a patch test on the area, testing different energy levels in the process to ensure there is no reaction to treatment. The consultation is free of charge and with no obligation and is a great way of deciding if laser treatment is right for you.

How much does Laser treatment cost?

Laser Hair Removal starts at €35 per session. We offer courses on all treatments. When you pay for a course, you receive one treatment free.

Specialised Treatments for Thread Veins, Redness and Pigmentation start €80.

For all our Laser Treatments we offer Flexible Payment Plans. Vicky, Louise or Andrea will discuss these during your consultation.

How long does treatment take?

A treatment could take as little as a few minutes to as long as an hour, depending on the area and the condition being treated. Usually areas like the chin or lip will take around 5 minutes and the Full Legs or Full Back may take around 1 hour.

What can I expect during treatment?

Treatment will take place in our Clinic Treatment room with your dedicated Laser Therapist Sheila, Vicky, Louise or Andrea. Your Therapist will utilize a hand piece to deliver laser pulses onto the desired treatment area. Some patients may feel a slight discomfort with each laser pulse which is resolved instantly and minimized with the patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ (DCD™) for Hair Removal. The treatment is usually completed a lot quicker than patients expect. The larger distance gauges that we have mean that larger areas for Hair Removal such as Full Legs for Women or Full Back for Men can be sped up.

Once the treatment is completed your Therapist will remind you about aftercare and will book your next appointment. Usually 4 weeks apart for Face and 6 weeks apart for Body.

When can I expect to see results?

The number of sessions depends on the desired treatment and the condition of your skin. This will be discussed with you in your consultation. We usually advise starting with a course of 6 treatments for Laser hair Removal and 4 treatments for Specialised areas.

Full consultation and patch test required a minimum of 48 hours prior to laser treatment.
